Project 30/50: 20K Kit of Hope Program

SI Malaysia is running a fundraising campaign – 20K Kit Of HOPE Program, from now until 15 November 2017.

Do you know?

Southeast Asia is located in one of the most disaster-prone regions of the world and is exposed to almost all types of natural hazards, including tsunamis, earthquakes, floods, typhoons, cyclones, droughts, landslides, and volcanic eruptions, with notable major disasters, including the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami and 2008 Cyclone Nargis.

Every time disaster strikes, too often victims are LEFT to wait before help / aid to arrive.

Even with a population of 630 million – ASEAN region are still at infancy when it comes to responding to emergency situations.

We want to be able to help the agencies or organisations that are closer to the ground to provide faster assistance to disaster struck areas.

In time of emergency – people need necessity items MORE than anything else.

HELP us to raise funds so we could build an inventory of hygiene kits to be IMMEDIATELY distributed when nature strikes.

Every $$ contributed here will be used to secure items for the hygiene kits.

20K Kit of HOPE is a bag prepared with:

  • Sanitized Wet Wipes
  • Shampoo
  • Soap
  • Face Towel
  • Toothbrush & paster
  • Sanitary Pads
  • Plastic comb
Hygiene Kit Sample

We aim for 10,000 units of hygiene kits to be prepared by November 2017. These units will be benefited by any country in the region immediately. Extra $10k in cash will be handed to our parent secretariat to be put into the “Disaster Relief Fund”

1 Kit of Hope is ONLY RM20

Happy 50th Anniversary ASEAN!!

Happy 50th Anniversary ASEAN!!

SI Malaysia would like to introduce our Project 30/50 in conjunction of the 50th anniversary of ASEAN and 30th anniversary of SSEAYP International (SI) establishment.

The 20K Kit of HOPE Program is an initiative in Malaysia to fully support the collaborated implementation of PROJECT 30/50 – Social Contribution Activity (SCA) mission throughout ASEAN and Japan. Together with other alumni from ASEAN countries and Japan, this big collaboration effort is meant to provide opportunities for any organisations and individuals to contribute in building the inventory for the purpose of disbursement during disaster relief.

Stay tuned for more updates of our long-term project under SI Malaysia.

Thanks.
